amaranthine
Defined as "everlasting" or "undying," amaranthine is a word that gives the
impression of perpetual life and the inability to fade or recede. It can
alternatively be defined as "related to the amaranth;" an imaginary flower that
never dies. I could give a thousand melodramatic reasons as to why I chose this
name, but in actuality I just wanted a word that meant something akin to
eternal; and I have a thing for long, somewhat obsolete words that express
something short and straightforward. ^^ It is a beautiful word though, and
that's really why.
